Spring Shows Recap, New Friends, and Future Plans!

Greeting Reeders!

Here’s a blog post to catch you up on what we’ve been doing!

First off, we filmed a live video for our friend Sam Molleur’s project called “Two Stories” which included a trip to Hollywood to his rad apartment (looked like the belly of a ship!) where we filmed a new version of The Morn’ Will Come. Check out his magnificent work here:  Things Made By Sam

We lost the group picture with Sam and his cameraman, Kalen, but Natalie did catch this awkward moment of me walking in:

On March 30th we played that show with Galanis for their CD release and had a great time because our good friend Matt Starcher mixed the sound so wonderfully for us! Here’s a photo from that night:

The next night, we finally played a show with our new-found friends The Buffalo Skinners!
Check out their foot-stompin’ good zydeco-folk n’ roll here: The Buffalo Skinners

That night we played a secret house show in Claremont at our new friend Tara’s house in the pouring rain. Thankfully there was enough covering for the bands and friends. It was definitely one of the most memorable shows for both of our bands. The Buffalo Skinners were visiting from England for only a few months, and this show was their triumphant send-off. Here’s a group photo:

Here’s some photos from when we were setting up:

Needless to say, we are anxious for Kinsey’s permanent return home from San Jose so we can keep the wheels of the reeds rolling! We are currently planning our summer tour for the month of August up the coast! Drop us a line if you have a venue recommendation or contact information!
Thanks to all who have promoted our music up until now, we are so thankful for the beautiful people we meet who encourage us to share our music!

All the very best,

-SSS
